Second Plate

Saturday, October 4, 2014

He is Ridwan Kamil, Bandung Mayor. He is one from "Those who dare to make a difference" series that i made. Same like one plate before, that i carved Jakarta's Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, carving people's face has some unique challenge. Showing their emotions and character inside, it's quite challenging. Image size still the same like before, 60cmx61cm.

First step to start

Friday, September 26, 2014

Finally I finish doing this board, I start to create public figure to become a theme in my plate. But they are not just an ordinary people; they do something, they think something, and some of them has been tortured or even jailed. Otherwise, there several people who has never been exposed to public. Maybe just because they are unfamous, so the media think they are not important. But at this chance, I want to share that we all are important, in our own part. The people on stage or people behind the stage, they have same responsibility. And this is the first step to bring this artwork to public. Enjoy :)

He is Ahok, our new governor for Jakarta, replacing Jokowi's position as number one people in Jakarta. Clean, transparent, and firm; he bring new fresh air to politic world in Indonesia, where people start to disbelief to the government. Now he is one from many leaders that bring hope to make Indonesia change. Made in woodcut technique, on hardboard; the proofing prints - printed on Concorde paper; image size 60x61 cm.

Thursday, June 13, 2013

Last day on my course program, many of people think that i am wasting time and money for taking such course. But it's not about money .. i just need the knowledge. If yesterday I learned preparing the screen and try to use a waterbase ink .. Today i learned all about plastisol ink.
Conclusion .. Waterbase and Plastisol are almost the same with acrylic paint with oil paint.

 Very tired .. but it's a great experience :D

Today i took a short course class for screen printing, well it's a new thing for me. Even though it seem that i was so familiar with printing world .. joining this class is truly fun. I learned all the printing preparations from preparing the screen until cleaning the used screen, mixing the ink with all mixture and trying many new items that i was only can see it in books or internet. Meeting new people and friendly tutor, and yes .. good investment.
